Spring is approaching! Numerous homeowners will partake in their annual Spring cleaning duties. Spring cleaning’s main goal is to go throughout your home, throw away any unnecessary items and organize your household goods. But the main question tends to be, where to start? Initially, you will need a checklist of areas to focus on. The below Spring cleaning checklist will help organize cleaning duties and help for you to welcome Spring in a clean home.
Around The House:
· Tour house exterior and grounds. Make notes on any seasonal repairs needed
· Dust your home thoroughly
· Inspect, clean and repair outdoor furniture
· Vacuum and shampoo rugs
· Clean Air Vents or have them professionally cleaned
· Shampoo Carpets and Rugs
Room by Room:
Kitchen
· Clean refrigerator coils by turning off the power at the circuit break or fuse box. Clean coils by vacuuming away any dirt or dust with a vacuum attachment
· Defrost and clean out the freezer
· Wash and sanitize trash cans
· Clean your drains with a quality drain cleaner, a substitute for a cleaner is baking soda and vinegar
Living Room
· Clean unlined curtains and rugs. Have your lined curtains professionally dry-cleaned
Bathrooms
· Check expiration dates of all prescriptions and cosmetics
· Inspect Grout in tile and regrout areas that are weak or damages
Bedrooms
· Flip your mattress to distribute wear evenly
· Clean out drawers and closets, donating and throwing away any items that are no longer used
· Change the bedding to a lighter fabric to match the warming temperature
