CEO Jeff Douglas, an avid outdoorsman, wanted Wyndham to have a positive impact on the environment as a digital mortgage lender.
To become a green workplace, Wyndham Capital created a completely paperless workflow by the by 2005. This helped to drastically minimize our environmental footprint and create better efficiency in our loan process. Through our secure online loan portal, we give our customers access to check the status of their loan 24 hours a day/7 days a week. Our portal helps keep our clients informed through a fully transparent and paperless process, while allowing them to stay up-to-date on the process without driving across town or sitting in traffic.
By switching to a paperless environment, we’ve estimated that Wyndham has saved over 1000 trees during the last 6 years and as we continue to grow, we’ll save thousands more in the future.
Purified and filtered water is provided to all employees, along with personalized company thermoses to cut down on the consumption of plastic bottles and paper coffee cups.
Wyndham Capital has also instituted an employee recycling program allowing for all recyclable material to be recycled each and every day.
The company was also the recent host of a local “Go Green” initiative, which entailed hosting a number of local companies at the Wyndham Capital corporate office explaining how to maintain a “Green” work environment.
For all of our efforts, we have been honored to be recognized by Mortgage Technology Magazine as a Green Lender Award winner.
